With the awards just a few weeks away I thought it was time we started talking about the people that are behind this year’s event. It takes months and months of planning and organizing to put this event together, and none of it would be possible without our sponsors and supporters. It’s time to get excited Ogden because these folks are helping to put on one hell of a party.
Richie T Steadman has hosted the awards two years in a row, and we couldn’t think of a better partner in crime than Ogden’s own Bill Allred. Thankfully they both graciously obliged and with little to no begging on my part! Richie is the Sr. Executive Producer of Radio From Hell and the host of Cultural Hall and his hilarious comedy will keep you laughing all night. Bill Allred is one-third of the trio on Radio From Hell as well as a fan of Ogden, he is also one hell of a cool dude.
Courtyard Ogden is the fabulous venue for this year’s awards. Their incredibly professional staff has helped us from the beginning to make sure we have the most incredible night. From the layout to the catering they were with us every step of the way. But that’s not even all! Courtyard Ogden is also offering guests a stay at the hotel for just $89. Sleep in a luxury bed or relax in the hot tub after a night of fun! If you are looking for a venue, their ballroom is gorgeous!
Sandy’s Fine Food Catering
We knew we wanted to up our game this year and the best way to do that was through food. Sandy’s not only worked with our budget, but they helped us get creative and came up with a menu I would have never imagined possible. Sandy’s partners with Courtyard Ogden for all their events, so you don’t have to worry about finding a separate catering company. Be prepared to be in foodie heaven! http://sandysfinefood.com/
Speaking of foodie heaven, what would a party be without sweets? Vintage Cupcakes has accomplished some incredible things since they began including winning food court wars on the Food Network. Michelle has impeccable style and really knows how to put a beautiful display together. Last year she made the cupcakes for the awards, and they were a huge hit and this year she plans to take it to the next level. www.facebook.com/VintageCupcakeCo
A great party needs a great photographer, and Circa 3 is determined to deliver. Not only will this local company be hosting the photo booth but they will also have a slow motion video booth set up! This company has created some amazing videos from short films to incredible promotional videos for local businesses. If you want your businesses to shine, you need to be talking with these guys. http://circa3.com/
Elements of Real Estate
Ashley Wolthuis is more than just a real estate agent; she is an amazing person. Ashley helps people find their dream homes every day and when she isn’t doing that she is helping her community. Always the first to volunteer to sponsor the awards and the biggest cheerleader helping us get other sponsors. She currently has a fundraiser going to help purchase books for the children at the Lantern House homeless shelter (HERE). http://www.theelementsofrealestate.com/
Thomas Turner of People’s Mortgage helps people work through their finances to become homeowners. Thomas is also the Associate Director of Veterans Financing and works with veterans to achieve their home ownership dreams! The great thing about Thomas Turner is that he is always excited to help out locally, and he isn’t about to keep his expertise to himself; he also teaches classes as well. Pepsi, Admiral Beverage
One of the biggest supporters and lovers of all things Ogden is Admiral Beverage. This company loves their employees and their local businesses so much that they even threw a parade and concert to celebrate them. Pepsi is helping the Awards out by donating to our gift boxes, and when I told them about how much work went into packing them last year, they volunteered to help us throw a packing party. When you get your gift boxes just know that some rad local Pepsi folks helped pack them.
Carlos & Harleys
Carlos & Harley’s is located in Eden and is a must stop after skiing or summer fun at Pineview. Their burritos are insanely good and don’t get me started on the salsa, I mean they have to sell it in jars because it’s so good people would riot if they didn’t have some to take home. Darin and his wife Kjirstin are always the first to pitch in when help is needed, and they recently donated socks, hats, coats and a cash donation to help us get supplies for homeless teens in Ogden. Beyond the restaurant, the Michl’s are also real estate agents in the Ogden Valley. http://www.carlosandharleys.com/
