The band hasn’t been around long but has already left an impression on the hardcore Ogden scene. Their guitar riffs are memorable, with drum beats that illustrate the serious talent behind these guys. If you’re not a fan of screaming, you still ought to give them a chance; the powerful scream behind the majority of Any Other Way’s songs has you itching to chest bump someone or do a powerful ninja kick. If you don’t believe me, give them a listen here.

The dudes behind The Codi Jordan Band bring a sense of reggae to Ogden, & taking the city by storm. Taking inspiration from Sublime and Slightly Stoopid, these reggae rockers tour the West, spreading their “mountain town meets the beach” sounds to all who give them a listen.
Headman Codi Jordan grew up in SoCal, & brought the sounds of Cali to the mountains of Utah, combining for an almost folk-esque reggae unlike anything you’ve ever heard. His bandmates all hail from the Ogden area & together, they create something beautiful.
The band’s had the opportunity to share the stage with Dashboard Confessional, Neon Trees, Trevor Hall, The Expendables & more. Find them here & give them a listen!

Perhaps one of Ogden’s most famous musical ensembles, Fox Van Cleef began here in this very city 6 years ago. The jazzy hip-hop sound of Fox Van Cleef is unique, and the band says at first their sound got them many weird looks at local venues. However, the band has escalated over the years & created quite the name for themselves.
The band announced in September that they are taking a hiatus, however do not fret Fox fans: The band will be back. In the meantime, check out their website below & give their sweet tunes a listen; & prepare to be amazed.

The Kap Brothers, to me, SOUND like Ogden. When you think of the town’s ties to the railroad industry, & its rich history, the soundtrack to the town is The Kap Brothers. The band has been around for 25 years, supplying Ogden with some of the most talented & catchy bluegrass tunes you’ll hear. Give them a listen here, & learn why band member Jim Shupe is lovingly nicknamed “Fingers.”
These guys don’t mess around when it comes to bluegrass, & any folk fan’s ears will be thankful for the chance to hear them!

Mermaid Baby is an Ogden favorite for several reasons, & most fans agree that while they are somewhat new to the indie scene, they came in with a bang. Founded in 2011, the band has beats you can nod your head to (I dare you NOT to dance, just a little), with smooth, melodic vocals. The band has paired with several other local bands in the area at venues like Mojos, & provide the town with a way to rock out & forget about your troubles. Check out their album here.

Shaky Trade is not new to the Ogden music scene…as they began their musical endeavors in 2004. The six local musicians create energetic sounds with their bass lines, soulful lead vocals, & and catchy melodies.
The band recorded their third album/EP last year, & they continue to bring the funky vibes to the greater Ogden area. Fans of Shaky Trade often describe their sound as rockin with an “old school vibe,” filled with entertaining sounds unique to the Ogden area. Go here for a listen!
